As we celebrate our 20th anniversary in 2025, there’s no better reason to look back on an incredible journey filled with growth, innovation, and global expansion before looking ahead to an increasingly innovative nutraceutical space. From our beginnings in Lincoln to becoming the UK’s leading nutraceutical manufacturer, we’re proud of all we’ve achieved over the past two decades.
2004: The Beginning of Parkacre
Parkacre was established in 2004, starting operations in Lincoln. Our mission was clear: to provide high-quality, own-label services and packaged products to the nutraceutical market.
2005: Our First Birthday!
We celebrated our first anniversary in 2005, marking the first year of many milestones to come. This was a key moment for us, as we realised the potential for growth within the nutraceuticals industry.
2006: Expanding Our Portfolio
As the demand for our services grew, so did our capabilities. By 2006, we expanded our service solutions to include not only own-label services and packaged products but also bulk boxed supplements. This diversification allowed us to reach even more customers!
2007: Going Global
In 2007, we took a step forward by expanding our operations internationally. We began sourcing supplements from global markets, allowing us to expand our portfolio, growing our network to multiple suppliers across the globe allowing for customers to have the most in-demand products on the market.
2009: Achieving ISO9001 Accreditation
In 2009, we reached a significant quality milestone by achieving ISO9001 accreditation. This was a testament to our commitment to delivering high-quality products to our customers through a quality management system ensuring consistency, efficiency and good governance in operational procedures.
2010: Our First Encapsulation Machine!
In 2010, we took a major step forward by purchasing our first encapsulation machine to manufacture capsules, allowing our customers to have their products made in Britain. This was the first step in becoming the leader of nutraceutical manufacturing in the UK, and we haven’t looked back since.
2011 – 2012: Parkacre Moves into World War II Hangar
In 2011, we purchased our larger premise in Hemswell, Lincoln, marking the start of our expansion into more advanced manufacturing facilities. This airfield hangar with a rich history was soon to be transformed, breathing new life into the facility. 2011 was also the year we introduced tablet manufacturing capabilities and expanded our packaging facilities to meet our growing demand, marking 2011 as a significant year in our journey.
By 2012, we had developed our new manufacturing facilities into a high-specification, pharmaceutical-grade production environment. This move was a game-changer, allowing us to meet the highest industry standards for quality and safety.
2013: Strengthening Our Commitment to Quality
In 2013, we further solidified our reputation for quality by earning key certifications, including Informed Sport, GMP, and Made in Britain. These achievements reflected our commitment to delivering safe and effective products.
At the Gainsborough Business Awards, we were honoured with the ‘Best Use of Innovation/Technology’ award, recognising our introduction of new technologies and processes that positively impacted the business, staff, and local economy.
We also invested in a stick pack machine, a fully automated system that enhances our packaging capabilities, enabling us to meet increased demand with efficient, air-tight, and visually appealing seals.
2014: Making our Mark at Vitafoods
2014 was a pivotal year for Parkacre as we exhibited for the first time at Vitafoods Europe, a major international trade show. This marked our first step onto the global stage, showcasing our products to an international audience and solidifying our position as a key player in the worldwide nutraceuticals industry.
2015: Partnering for Sustainability
In 2015, we partnered with Hemswell BioGas to power Parkacre with 100% renewable electricity through Anaerobic Digestion. This partnership aligned with our commitment to sustainability and reducing our carbon footprint.
Business owners and consumers alike can be confident that the products they’re selling and consuming are manufactured using green energy only.
2016-2017: Continued Growth and Expansion
In 2016 and 2017, we saw significant expansion. We added a second clean room floor to meet increasing product demand and opened an Innovation Centre to boost product development and research. Additionally, we built a 15,000-square-foot warehouse, greatly increasing our storage capacity.
We also became a Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) facility, registered by NSF International. This achievement marked another important milestone in our ongoing commitment to quality by pushing ourselves to achieve this yearly audit going forward.
2018: SpongeBob SquarePants, Pups, and GMP
In 2018, we partnered with Nickelodeon, acquiring an exclusive license to produce PAW Patrol and SpongeBob SquarePants-branded supplements. This partnership allowed us to tap into the children’s nutraceutical market, offering fun and effective products for younger generations.
We also achieved our yearly GMP certification following a successful annual audit and BRC Certification, further validating our commitment to maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety.
2019: Introducing the Format of the Future
2019 saw us introduce gummy manufacturing to our production capabilities. With the ever-growing demand for this product format, this expansion allowed us to offer a wider range of nutraceutical formats to our customers.
Gummies have since risen to the top of all trending products with a “gummy race” on who can innovate this format to new heights the quickest. We’re proud to say that Parkacre leads the way in gummy manufacturing, with our products available nationwide and poised for global distribution.
2020: Rising to and Through the Unprecedented
The pandemic in 2020 posed unprecedented challenges for businesses around the world, but Parkacre rose to the occasion. We manufactured over 1.4 billion key immunity products to support global health during this critical time. As key workers, we played our role in the global response to this new virus, ensuring that these beneficial products reached those who needed them.
We’re proud of our team who met this challenge head-on, pushing through adversity and obstacles rather than avoiding them, allowing the team and therefore Parkacre to come out the other side stronger and more resilient.
2021: Award-Winning Success
In 2021, we were awarded the ‘Best Nationwide Contract Vitamins & Supplements Manufacturer’ by SME News, recognising our excellence and commitment to growth within the nutraceuticals industry. This award further cemented our reputation as a leader in the sector.
2022: A New Look and Top Grades
2022 marked the year we had a refresh. After 17 years we wanted our logo to reflect our ambition of leading the nutraceutical manufacturing industry in an ever-increasing digital world.
Following an unannounced visit, we achieved an AA+ BRCGS accreditation. This prestigious certification is a testament to our unwavering commitment to quality, safety, and continuous improvement, providing our customers the peace of mind that we don’t just speak quality, we embody it.
2023: Green in Colour and Nature
2023 was another remarkable year for Parkacre, as we were awarded the “Environmental/Sustainable Business of the Year” award, recognising Parkacre for our exceptional commitment to sustainability.
From utilising renewable energy sources to implementing waste-to-energy strategies, we have successfully reduced our carbon footprint while emphasising the importance of recyclable materials such as introducing glass packaging. We strive to push green manufacturing to the forefront of our business model, establishing industry-leading standards for sustainability across all manufacturing sectors.
2024: A Year of Growth and Sustainability
In 2024, we expanded our gummy production with a new clean room, boosting capacity to meet rising demand while maintaining our commitment to quality. Alongside this, our scientists are in constant trials to perfect what we know and push the boundaries of what we don’t yet know is possible in gummy manufacturing. We’re confident that our gummies are the finest produced in the UK.
Another significant milestone in our sustainability journey was achieved when we acquired our ISO 14001 certification, reinforcing our dedication to sustainable manufacturing practices and minimising our environmental impact. Find out more here.

2025: Future Ambitions and Progress
Looking ahead to 2025, we have exciting plans in store that we’ll be unveiling at Vitafoods Barcelona. We’ll be at stand CC.B54 come say hello!
These plans – which are already underway – will boost our capacities and capabilities to the highest levels yet. This growth will allow our facilities to meet any requirement of the nutraceutical sector nationally and internationally.
